Great working with Blanca Cobb and Ditra Miller on How Not To Suck on TV, a seminar that teaches how to captivate an audience on camera, and get more media exposure, credibility, and leads.
It was great to work with SECCA again with Crossroads #019 @ SECCA: Lucinda Williams on Friday, August 11, 2017. It was a first being in the Millennium Center despite being a Winston-Salem resident previously. This event was a combination of two loves, people photography and live music photography.
The music, cash bar and food onsite helped keep the patrons happy.

Congrats to Dianne Moffett on her run for Mayor of Greensboro, NC. CharlesMedia Photography was honored to capture her campaign launch portraits!
Always thankful to be a part of the Greensboro’s Kwanzaa Collective. This past year marked the 50th anniversary of Kwanzaa, a week long celebration running from December 26th to January 1st.
Each day a different principle of Kwanzaa is recognized. The seven principles celebrated are:
- Umoja (Unity): To strive for and to maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.
- Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): To define and name ourselves, as well as to create and speak for ourselves.
- Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers’ and sisters’ problems our problems and to solve them together.
- Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics): To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together.
- Nia (Purpose): To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
- Kuumba (Creativity): To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
- Imani (Faith): To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.
It was a rich and powerful experience we were lucky to capture.
